Privacy Policy — Katakani Bang

Information we use

Location. With your permission, the app uses your device location to calculate accurate prayer times and the Qibla direction, and to show mosques near you.

• Prayer-time and Qibla calculations happen on your device.
• To display the map and find nearby mosques, your coordinates are sent to OpenStreetMap services (the Overpass API and map tile servers) to return results in real time.
• If you tap “Directions” for a mosque, the destination coordinates open in Apple Maps or Google Maps.

We do not store your location on our own servers, and we never use it for advertising or tracking.

Notifications. If you enable prayer reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device. Delivery uses Apple’s Push Notification service where applicable.

Optional cloud sync. The app may offer an optional setting to sync your preferences (such as language, theme, calculation method, and saved city) across your devices. It is off by default and not active in the current version. If enabled in a future version, those settings would be stored with our backend provider solely to provide the sync feature.

What we do not do

• No advertising and no ad networks.
• No analytics, tracking, or third-party tracking SDKs.
• No user accounts; we do not ask for your name, email, or phone number.
• We never sell or rent your personal information.

Third-party services

• OpenStreetMap / Overpass API and map tiles — to display the map and find nearby mosques.
• Apple Maps / Google Maps — only when you tap to get directions.
• Apple Push Notification service — to deliver reminders, where used.

These providers process requests under their own privacy policies.

Data retention and deletion

Your settings and cached data are stored on your device and are removed when you delete the app. We do not keep a copy on our servers. (If optional cloud sync is enabled in a future version, you will be able to delete synced data from within the app or by contacting us.)

Children

Katakani Bang is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights (EEA / UK — GDPR)

If you are in the EEA or the UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Because the app has no accounts and processes location on-device to provide the features you request, we generally do not hold personal data about you on our servers. To make a request, contact us at k4r0z004@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Legal basis: we process your location to provide the features you request (prayer times, Qibla, nearby mosques) on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in your device settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will appear here with a new “Last updated” date.
